Get Started with Session Loops
What is Session Loops?
Session Loops is a next-generation music production platform where you can create your customized loops based on grooves, licks, chord progressions, FX, registers, and more. All loops you downloaded from Session Loops are royalty-free. You can get infinite production quality loops to get inspired or finish your project.
How do I get my customized loops and download them into my DAW?
  • Click on waveforms of a loop in any pack page while not playing to open Loop Editor, or click New Loop on the bottom left of the page to create a loop from scratch.
  • Drag a groove or lick from the right side of Loop Editor into the grey editing area to start creating your own chord progression or into the Chord Progression Selector to apply a chord progression from the presets.
  • Toggle the snap switch to move your clips to the right spot precisely.
  • Use the up and down arrow to audition the list of grooves, licks, or chord progressions. Add or remove grooves until you are satisfied.
  • Select a groove clip in the editing area to modify its chord or register. For lick clips, you can only change their registers. For some groove, you may find FILL button. Try it and apply fills to your loops!
  • Holding Alt(Windows)/Option(Mac) while dragging a groove in the editing area will duplicate it. Holding Ctrl(Windows)/Cmd(Mac) while moving your mouse over a groove, you can split a groove by clicking over the spot you want. Get more information about shortcuts.
  • You can clear all the clips by clicking Clear on top of the Loop Editor if you want to start over.
  • Explore the up area of Loop Editor to modify the length, key, or BPM of the whole loop. Try out the Chord Progression Selector even when you finish your loop!
  • Click on the FX button to apply or change the FX chain of the loop. Get more information about FX.
  • Press the space bar or click on the play button on the top left of Loop Editor to audition the whole loop.
  • You can now add or download the loop to your DAW! (Downloading a loop will automatically add that loop to your library.)
    • What rights do I have for loops I download from Session Loops?
    All loops you made on Session Loops are covered under our royalty-free license. You are free to use and modify them in your personal and commercial projects as long as you comply with our Terms of Service.
    Can I re-download a loop I’ve already purchased?
    Yes. You can download your loop as many times as you need once you purchase it. Find and re-download all your purchased loops anytime from your My Loops page, both on Pack and My Library pages.
    Where can I find all the samples I’ve purchased?
    Find and download all your purchased samples anytime from My Loops tag on every pack page or the My Library top on the home page.
    Are all loops, including the presets and loops that I made, royalty-free?
    Yes. All content you download from Session Loops is 100% royalty-free. Check out Terms of Service for more information.
    Can I keep the loops that I downloaded from Session Loops even if I no longer have a Session Loops account?
    Yes. Once you’ve downloaded loops from Session Loops, they are yours forever.

    How do I know what plan I’m on?
    Review your plan anytime in the plan section of your Plan page.
    How do I cancel my plan?
    You can cancel your plan at any time in the “Plan” section of your Plan page. If you cancel, you will lose access to all remaining credits at the end of your billing cycle. You’ll keep access to your purchased and downloaded loops in the My Library section on the home page.
    What happens to my purchased samples if I cancel?
    If you cancel your plan, you’ll still have access to your loops that were made or downloaded previously in the My Library section on the home page. Modifying and downloading existing loops doesn’t cost credits.
    Credits
    Can I purchase more credits before my next payment?
    Yes. Purchase more credits anytime by emailing us at [email protected]. We will manually add credit for you.
    How many credits do I have left?
    As long as you’re logged in, your remaining credits are always displayed next to your username in the top right corner of any page.
    Will I lose my credits after every billing cycle?
    No. As long as your plan is active, all remaining credits will roll over.
    What happens to my Samples credits if I cancel?
    You’ll lose all remaining credits at the end of your current billing cycle if you cancel.
    You’ll keep access to your purchased and downloaded sounds in the Downloads section of your account if you cancel. Modifying and downloading existing loops doesn’t cost credits.
